Mrs. Gulabi Chaudhary, living in remote Village Ramshikharjhala, Kailali District Situated In Far-western Region, Nepal. She belongs to Hariyali women group of Ramsikharjhala. She is a poor family and she had not sufficient land (Only 1 Kattha) for farming and had no other income source. She had weak in economic condition. While struggling economically, she found rays of hope, when she got 5 days Vocational Training from CBODC Dhangadhi, Kailali Funded by Development Fund Norway. She had completed the training with actively. She started street fast food business after Receiving training and Material and revolving fund from cooperative (established by CBODC). In the beginning of her business she start fast food in school then also has been starting in her home. It was first time I her life where she believed that she can do something. After starting business her husband also working together. It make supported his wife to work. Now she was able to earn NPR 500 income per day. She save NPR 200 own herself. It was the first time she has contribute to her children education. She contribute cost for children’s education and other household expenses. She also said “I will start small hotel in future. I thanks to CBODC & DF Norway to develop my courage and support. It is really great change in my life.” SULAV project focused on economic growth of community with equality and awareness. Empowered and confident people can also do best in economic transformation process by own hard work, courage and positive through small business management. This role model like Gulabi Chaudhary had also contributed in changing mind of the people.
