Kamala Chaudhary is a women having a good vision and hardworking. She is from Ghodaghodi-8 Latthuwa. She is share member of Adarash co-operatives and also a active group member of chahana women group. She is from marginalized family having a low family life. She has 5 family members including 3 children. It’s very difficult to pay the fees of children, medical expenses and other necessary household expenses.
Kamala said after joining Chahana women group I got chances to learn and experience many things like nutrition-based training, home garden support by providing vegetable and fruit sapling, grain production of rice, wheat, seed production of potato, leadership training, saving and credit programme and many more. Also she got to know that revolving fund is the way where she can take a loan with less interest rate and start her work.
She took loan of Rs 25000 from revolving fund and starts to grow vegetable in 3 kathha of land. She said, she is able to grow offseason and season vegetables in the area. According to her she plant vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, chilly, capsicum, tomato, radish, coriander, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, pumpkin, ladyfinger etc. Her husband is also actively involved in making tunnel house and plastic house. She had grown seedlings well in tunnel and grows capsicum in plastic house. She is happier when her husband and children helps in her work. According to her from the vegetables farming she is able to earn more than 1 lakh.
She has planned to expand her farming from 3 kathha to 10 kathha in the future. But there is big problem of not getting land on lease. At the end she wants to thank CBODC family and Aadarsh co-operatives for all the support and guidance
