Chameli women farmer group is a woman from Ghodaghodi-5, Sitalpur. This is the marginalized but most active women group who takes interested in cash crop cultivation and took training from CBODC. In past days women from that group were illiterate. From the literacy Programme conducted by CBODC they were able to write their name and do simple calculation. Most of the women's husbands were work on house building purpose and women were busy in their household work and some women doing labor.
For the cash crop training purpose chameli group was selected and CBODC staff provided training to the members about the mushroom cultivation. At the time of training also the women were fully energetic and excited about the mushroom cultivation. Later on the basis of SULAV-2 project CBODC support required materials like mushroom seed, plastic bag and black plastic for, mushroom house construction. Chameli group women said mushroom training has been very effective among us. They made 3 mushroom houses and 500 sack of mushroom ball. "Doing work together is very energetic and enjoyable",Chameli group said.
After 35 days mushroom were ready to harvest and we made a rule to sell mushroom in the market one by one among members. Secretary Kamala chaudhary work in a money calculation and treasurer keep money. Till now we sell the 1st harvest of mushroom where 250 kg yield was harvested and 30 kg was distributed among members. Rs 30000 is earned from selling mushroom till to the date, again mushroom is being ready for second harvest. As per the secretary Kamala Chaudhary approximately 90000 incomes is estimated and this money will be used for next year mushroom cultivation. Some money will be used for household activities.
